KAMPALA – The Minister of Education and Sports, Ms Janet Kataha Museveni, is set to release the results for the 2024 Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) candidates on Friday at the State House Lodge in Nakasero.
This will mark the final release of the national examination results for the year, following the earlier releases of the Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) and Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) results in January and February.
On Wednesday, officials from the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) briefed Ms Museveni on the performance of candidates ahead of the official release scheduled for Friday.
State Minister for Higher Education, Dr John Chrysostom Muyingo, confirmed the development in an interview with the Monitor.
“The results will be released on Friday by the Minister of Education at State House. The public will be able to know the outcomes from these examinations after 11 am when the results will be released,” Dr. Muyingo said.
A total of 142,017 candidates registered to sit for the 2024 UACE exams.
With senior six leavers having been home since December 2024, they are now expected to join higher institutions of learning, including universities for those pursuing bachelor’s programs or technology institutions for those seeking diploma courses.
To qualify for entry into these institutions, candidates must have attained the UNEB certificate with at least two principal passes, as required for admission.
