Kampala, Uganda – The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) is set to release the 2024 Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) results this Friday, January 17, 2025, at State House Nakasero, sources within the Ministry of Education have confirmed.
The First Lady and Minister of Education and Sports, Janet Kataha Museveni, is expected to officiate the release of the results, which have been eagerly anticipated by students, parents, and educators.
The results, which will reveal the performance of over 700,000 candidates who sat for the examinations in November 2024, will mark a significant milestone for students transitioning to secondary education.
According to UNEB officials, the results will be available on examination center portals for schools to download, while hard copies can be collected from the UNEB offices at Ntinda.
In addition, students, parents, and educators will be able to access the results via Short Message Services (SMS) on mobile networks, providing instant access to individual results.
The release of the PLE results comes ahead of the new academic calendar year, which is set to begin in February 2025.
UNEB officials have assured the public that the examination process was conducted fairly and transparently, with all necessary measures in place to ensure the integrity of the results.
The PLE results are a critical indicator of a student’s readiness to transition to secondary education, and the release of the results is highly anticipated by stakeholders in the education sector.
