OLD KAMPALA– The Uganda Muslim Supreme Council (UMSC) convened on the Wednesday afternoon under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Muhammadi Lubega Kisambira, the UMSC National Chairperson. The meeting will address various organizational matters and set the agenda for upcoming activities.
The order paper indicates several key items. First, Prof. Dr. Muhammadi Lubega Kisambira is expected to provide communication from the Chair, offering guidance and updates on UMSC activities. His Eminence Dr. Sheikh Shaban Ramadhan Mubaje, the Mufti of Uganda is scheduled to give brief remarks and share insights with the committee members.
Additionally, a situation report will be presented by Hon. Hadji Abbas Muluubya Ssekyanzi, the UMSC Secretary General, providing an overview of the current state of affairs. Various sectoral committees are to present their reports, highlighting progress, challenges, and recommendations.
The committee also plans to review existing policies to ensure they align with UMSC’s strategic objectives. Discussions were set to include the scheduling of the Annual General Assembly, which is expected to take place before the end of the year.
The meeting is a cruci”l part of UMSC’s efforts to strengthen its operations and ensure effective management across its structures.
