KAMPALA – On Tuesday 3rd October, the long awaited 29th Uganda Manufacturers Association (UMA) Trade fair kicked off at Lugogo.
Like as it has been previously , even this year the trade fair attracted exhibitors from all Uganda, East Africa, Africa and other parts of the world.
Although some of the exhbitors were in final touches of preparing their stalls , this didn’t stop students and other people to show up for the tradeshow.
“We came in here on Monday so that we can be able to prepare well before the official openning. So far we have almost done everything and remaining with only few minor things whicch we shall finalize before closure of business today (Tuesday).” revealed Musoke one of the exhbitors
The gate collection points have been well organized with more than four persons in charge of gate collection at each point which has reduced on the time one spends at the entrance before getting in the trade fair.
As one of the means of attracting people to visit various stalls, some companies have freebies and discounts to all those that turn up at the points.
“Its my second time to come here , i have liked the first day because there is no congestion , you can freely move from one point to another freely unlike other days.” Kamusiime Nelson from Nansana revealed
He thus called upon all people who have been reluctant to visit the trade show not to miss out this year , but should come and see the new things and Innovations on market.
On Tuesday , the students who turnned up received special treatment at the Education Pavilion where they met several exhbitors from various educational sector and some students won prizes after participating in competitions.
The trade show is expected to be officially opened by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni on Thursday this week.
