UMA International Trade fair kicks off in style

LUGOGO -On Wednesday , the long awaited international trade fair organized by Uganda Manufacturer’s Association (UMA) with exhibitors from all over Uganda and other foreign countries.

As it has been in the past, day one always start up with organizing stalls, set up stalls for those who had delayed as well as getting into the exhibition mood by those who had already organized everything.

“We have got a good turn up of the exhibitors because all our stalls are already booked by various exhibitors. Some of the exhibitors as you can see are doing final touches on their stalls.” revealed  Mr. Eddie Ssenkumba Director Communications UMA.

He revealed that as the first day, they received some few glitches on their power supply but all this was later ressolved and situation returned to normal.

Among the government Agencies that received the highest turn up  was NIRA which set up a big tent to offer services to all those that have been yearning for their services.

“We brought all our equipments here ready to serve the people. We want those mature people who have never registered for a National Identity card to come registration free of charge, Death Certificate, those who lost their IDs will have to pay some reasonable fee for replacement.” Remarked Faridah Nassozi PRO NIRA

She added that people are served at a faster rate, they came with bank agent to reduce on wastage of people’s time as they go to bank to pay the charges levied on some NIRA services.

The most busy section of the day was the upper exhbition area with several industries are displaying their products at the same time providing free entertainment for the revealers.

The trade show kicked off on Wednesday 02nd October 2024 and it will be closing on 10th October 2024 , a day after independence day celebrations.

The exhibitors for this year has attracted exhibitors dealing in Agricultural services and output, Electronic equipment manufacturers, Building material manufacturers, Automobile distributors , Beauty and personal care, Food and beverage company etc.
