A ceremony has taken place in Kampala, Uganda, to mark the second graduation of students from New Life Leadership Academy.
The academy, which aims to raise a new generation of leaders who blend education with faith, has seen 25 students graduate with certificates in leadership and ministry.
Dr Abraham Nalwebe, director of the academy, praised the graduates for their hard work and dedication.
“These students have shown remarkable progress during their time at the academy,” he said. “They have developed important skills in public speaking and leadership, which will serve them well in their future careers.”
The graduates, who come from a variety of backgrounds and denominations, have undergone an intensive programme of study and training.
Kemigisha Edinah, one of the graduates, said she had gained a great deal from her time at the academy.
“I was struggling to express myself in English when I first joined,” she said. “But now, I am confident and equipped to serve in my church and community.”
Pastor Peter Mutebi, overseer of Kawempe Pentecostal Churches, also spoke at the ceremony, emphasizing the importance of education for church leaders.
“This generation is not for ignorant people,” he said. “Church leaders need to be well-informed and equipped to serve their congregations effectively.”
The graduation ceremony was attended by dignitaries from the Transworld Accrediting Commission International in California, USA, as well as representatives from local churches and organisations.
New Life Leadership Academy is committed to raising a new generation of leaders who are equipped to serve their communities and churches effectively.
