Uganda is bracing for the release of the final 2024 census results next week, marking a significant milestone in understanding the country’s population dynamics.
The Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS) has announced that the main report of the National Population and Housing Census 2024 will be disseminated on October 3, 2024, at Kampala Serena Hotel, starting at 9:00 am.
“The main report of the National Population and Housing Census 2024 will be disseminated on Thursday, 3rd October 2024,” said UBOS Executive Director and Census Commissioner, Dr. Chris N. Mukiza.
The event, invite-only due to logistical constraints, will be broadcast live on TV, radio, and social media platforms, ensuring widespread accessibility.
Dr. Mukiza emphasized the significance of the census, aptly themed “It Matters to be Counted.”
The final report is expected to provide detailed insights into Uganda’s demographic landscape, guiding policy decisions and development initiatives.
The public is encouraged to follow the proceedings live on TV, radio, and social media platforms.
