Professional speaker and local content consultant, Tony Otoa, has been appointed Chief Corporate Affairs officer at Uganda National Oil Company (UNOC).
UNOC is a government-owned company whose function is to handle Uganda’s commercial interests in the petroleum sector.
Otoa joins UNOC from Stanbic Uganda Holdings Ltd where he has been serving as chief executive of the Stanbic Business Incubator.
“This decision was not easy. Stanbic has been a significant part of my professional life, and I am immensely proud of what we have accomplished together,” Otoa said.
“The support, dedication and hard work of each one on my team and the Stanbic family as a whole. special thanks to Patrick Mweheire who brought me into the family. Guided me and supported me with much love,” he added.
He thanked Stanbic Ugandan Holdings Ltd and the Stanbic Business Incubator team for the support over the years and expressed excitement about the new journey.
“Your contributions have been invaluable, and I am confident that the Stanbic Business Incubator will continue to thrive under new leadership,” Otoa stated.
“As I embark on this new chapter, I carry with me the lessons, experiences, and memories from my time at Stanbic. I am excited about the opportunities that lie ahead and remain committed to supporting the growth and success of our entrepreneurial ecosystem.”

Who is Tony Otoa?
Otoa, boasts a demonstrated history of working in the oil & energy industry with main focus on local/national content.
He is not new to the oil and gas sector, having previously served as local content advisor at Uganda Chamber of Mines and Petroleum for four years.
A strong administrative professional, Otoa holds a Bachelors of Science in International Relations and Masters of Laws from Oxford Brookes University.
