Full list:Ruto Appoints Eleven Cabinet Ministers

NAIROBI -Afew weeks after , President William Ruto has fired all his Ministers as a result of pressure exerted on his government by the youthful demonstrators, on Friday he has announced a team of new members.

At a Press held at State House in Nairobi , Ruto revealed that the recent demonstrations have been a very big test to Kenya’s democracy on top exposing a number of weakness areas governance, development, economic management among others.

“Consequently, I have started the process of forming a new, broad-based cabinet to assist me in driving the urgently needed and irreversible transformation of our country. I hereby nominate the following first batch of 11 individuals for consideration and approval by the National Assembly for appointment as Cabinet Secretaries and Attorney General.”

The appointed Minsiters include: Prof Kithure Kindiki for Ministry of the Interior and National Administration, Dr. Debra Mlongo Barasa as Minister for Health, Alice Wahome as Minister of Lands, Public Works, Housing and Urban Development

Julius Migos Ogamba ,Minister of Education, Aden Barre Duale as Minister for Defence, Dr. Andrew Mwiha as Minister of Agriculture and Livestock Development

Ministry of Environment, Climate Change Forestry has been placed under Roselinda Soipan Tuiya, Ministry of Water, Sanitation and Irrigation under Eric Muriithi Muuga, Ministry of Roads and Transport under Davis Chirchir as well as the Ministry of Information, Communication and the Digital Economy has been given to Margaret Nyambura Ndung’u

The Attorney-General is now Rebecca Miano.

Ruto has promised that as soon as he ia done with consultations with various stakeholders, he will be announced new other members for the vacant slots.

About a week ago , Kenyan President William Ruto fired almost his entire cabinet following several weeks of protests in Nairobi.

He only retained Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi.
