KAMPALA — A new report released by Ankole Political Activists Club (APAC) on the performance of Mem- bers of Parliament in Ankole sub-region has ranked Mbarara City North legislator, Dr Robert Mwesigwa Rukaari, as the top performer after scoring 90.1%.
Mr Ronald Kyamadidi, the chairperson of APAC, and Patrick Kabatereine Nuguless, the Project Coordinator at APAC, released the results after weeks of research.
According to Kyamadidi, they based their re- search on consultations with voters across the constituencies, media house and community leaders.
“We have 17 MPs representing various constit- uencies in Ankole sub-region. We ranked them basing on service delivery,” he said.
Kyamadidi also said various legislators had made several pledges without fulfilling them while oth- ers had lost touch with their electorates.
“Several MPs do not engage with them media to inform the public about what they are doing or what they plan to do,” Kyamadidi said.
The other MPs who scored better results include Steven Rwankaje with 88.6 and Arinaitwe Rauben from Isingiro.
