Kampala, Uganda – Prudential Uganda has donated $100,000 to provide safe drinking water to schools and communities in Uganda. The donation, made in partnership with Prudence Foundation, aims to improve access to clean water and promote health and well-being among Ugandans.
The donation will be used to construct water infrastructure, including boreholes and water tanks, in selected schools and communities across the country. The project is expected to benefit thousands of people, particularly children and women, who are most vulnerable to water-borne diseases.
“We are committed to making a positive impact in the communities we serve,” said Arjun Mallik, CEO of Prudential Uganda. “Access to clean water is a fundamental human right, and we are proud to be playing a role in improving the lives of Ugandans.”
Prudence Foundation, the community investment arm of Prudential plc, has a long history of supporting initiatives that promote health, education, and economic development in Africa and Asia.
“We are delighted to partner with Prudential Uganda to bring clean water to communities in need,” said Marc Fancy, Executive Director of Prudence Foundation. “This project aligns with our mission to make a lasting impact on the lives of people in the communities we serve.”
