KAMPALA, Uganda — Ivan Darlington Mwebe, a public relations executive at BrainChild Uganda/Fireworks, has been named Young Communicator of the Year at the 8th annual Public Relations Association of Uganda Excellence Awards.
The prestigious award recognizes outstanding achievement in public relations by young professionals who demonstrate creativity, leadership and innovation in their work.
Mwebe, known for his dynamic approach to communication strategies, has contributed significantly to the growth and success of BrainChild Uganda/Fireworks, a leading firm in strategic communication and brand management.
“This award is a humbling reminder of the journey I’ve taken,” Mwebe said. “The challenges faced, the triumphs celebrated, and the invaluable lessons learned along the way have shaped me into the communicator I am today.”
Mwebe praised his colleagues and supervisors for their mentorship and opportunities provided, vowing to continue raising the bar higher.
“I am deeply grateful to Team BrainchildBurson/Fireworks for their invaluable mentorship and for providing me with the space to hone my craft,” he said. “This recognition fuels my determination to continue pushing boundaries and making a meaningful impact.”
Mwebe’s work has enhanced the firm’s reputation and played a key role in shaping the public relations landscape in Uganda.
At the same event, Brainchild BCW/Fireworks won the award for Best Media Relations Campaign.
