TEHRAN, Iran — The Mufti of Uganda, His Eminence Dr. Sheikh Shaban Ramadhan Mubaje, arrived in Tehran on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, to attend a high-profile Islamic conference.
Mubaje, one of the invited facilitators from Africa, is participating in the conference themed “Holy Qur’an & International Diplomacy,” which has drawn participants from over 30 countries, including the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Russia, Malaysia, Algeria, Tunisia, Bosnia, and others.
Accompanying the Mufti is Hon. Counsel Haj Muhammad Ali Aluma, the Deputy Secretary General in charge of Finance and Administration. Mubaje’s presence at the conference underscores Uganda’s commitment to international religious diplomacy and cooperation.
The conference aims to explore the role of the Holy Qur’an in shaping international relations, fostering diplomacy, and addressing global challenges through Islamic principles.
