KAMPALA —Fans of Startimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL), will enjoy the 2022/22 season in a whole new way thanks to a dedicated channel for the competition launched by Next Media Services.
The dedicated Startimes Uganda Premier League channel is part of an expanded service, whose content will primarily focus on the league with other programming tailored for the male gender including sports, movies, and lifestyle content.
“Next Media is pleased to announce the launch of its new television station, Sanyuka Prime,” Next Media Services said in a statement unveiling the new channel.
“We’re back with the SUPL with unmatched quality, equipment, and the commitment to bring the game to you live. The new season of 2022-23 will be like no other in the history of SUPL,” said Joe Kigozi, General Manager of Sanyuka Prime
Sanyuka Prime will broadcast 150 matches this season, which is the highest number of broadcasted matches in the history of SUPL.

The new station takes over the SUPL from Sanyuka Television that carried the league for five seasons starting with 2017-2018, 2018-19, 2019-20, 2020-21, and 2021-22 with 2022 being the 6th season.
