The Apostolic Nunciature in Uganda, Luigi Bianco has announced new changes within Nebbi Diocese.
According to the communication from Luigi Bianco’s office released on November 26th 2024, His Holiness Pope Francis has appointed Bishop of the
Diocese of Nebbi the Rev. Fr. Constantine Rupiny, of the Clergy of the same Diocese of Nebbi, Rector of the Uganda Martyrs’ National Major Seminary Alokolum, Gulu.
“The Apostolic Nunciature desires to congratulate the new Bishop and invokes abundant blessings upon his pastoral ministry in that local Church.”
The Apostolic Nunciature has also expressed its gratitude to His Grace Raphael p’Mony Wokorach, M.C.C.J for his service as Apostolic Administrator of Nebbi.
From 22nd March 2024, the Diocese of Nebbi was vacant, for the appointment of His Grace Raphael p’Mony Wokorach, M.C.C.J Metropolitan Archdiocese of Gulu.
On 12th July 2024 , the Archbishop Raphael p’Mony Wokorach was appointed Apostolic Administrator of the Diocese of Nebbi.
