ENTEBBE — NCBA has announced the winners of the ongoing NCBA Golf Series at Entebbe Golf Club.
Various golfing categories saw spirited competition, with standout winners showcasing sportsmanship and unity.
The inaugural golf series was launched in 2021 and further to its success the series continued for the 2nd year in 2022 by hosting 2 tournaments in Uganda and more than 15 in Kenya.
The NCBA Golf Series includes the Junior Golf Series tournament in partnership with U.S. Kids Golf which sees over 300 junior golfers representing over 13 nationalities play to secure opportunities to play in the Rome Classic Tournament in Italy and the Big Five South Africa Tournament.
The event was graced by Mark Anthony Muyobo, the CEO of NCBA Bank Uganda. In his address, he extended his gratitude towards NCBA Bank’s partners such as World Navi, UBL, ICEA, and Aquafina (Crown Beverages Limited), for their continuous support.
He stated:” Golf to us (NCBA Bank) is a way in which we get communities to play together and that’s why we sponsor. The winners are having an opportunity to play in Sigona in Nairobi for the grand finale in December, fully sponsored by NCBA Bank. The overall winner will have a cash prize of 1,000 KSHs” said Muyobo.
There are 30 tournaments across different Golf courses in the Regions that is Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania.

Serwano Walusimbi, the captain of Entebbe Golf Club, thanked all Golfers participating in the NCBA Golf Series.
“It’s been a fun-filled day where we have seen several golfers participating and aiming at the grand finale. The top four winners will be flown to Sigona in Nairobi for the NCBA Golf Series Grand Finale.
We have had an interesting model which was the yellow ball called the Moneyball and we are ready to award the winners of this ball,” said Walusimbi.
