President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has this afternoon returned to Uganda after an official working visit in Zanzibar.
The President departed for Zanzibar yesterday at the invitation of Her Excellency, the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan.
During his visit, President Museveni held discussions with Their Excellencies Samia Suluhu Hassan and William Samoei Ruto, the President of Kenya.
Their meeting centred around the significance of the East African Community (EAC) attaining political federation, which would most certainly guarantee the prosperity of the people in the region through a larger market while also ensuring their strategic security.
At Entebbe International Airport, President Museveni was received by the Vice President of Uganda, H.E Jessica Rose Epel Alupo, the Head of Public Service and Secretary to the Cabinet, Ms. Lucy Nakyobe, the Commander of UPDF Air Force, Lt Gen. Charles Okidi, the Director Crime Intelligence, AIGP Christopher Damulira and the Deputy Commissioner General of Prisons, Mr. Samuel Akena.
