KAMPALA– President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in the recent changes in Uganda Police, has elevated 5 Police officers from the rank of Senior Commissioner of Police (SCP) to Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIGP).
“H.E the president of the republic of Uganda and Commander in Chief of the armed forces has made the following appointments and promotions in the Uganda Police Force as follows:” reads part of the Press statement for Uganda Police
According to the circular, all the elevated officers have become full directors of various departments, well as one , has has been appointed a deputy Director with in Uganda Police Force.
AIGP Apora James , is the Director of Logistics and Engineering, AIGP Lawrence Nuwabine is the Director Traffic and Road safety, AIGP Obwona Nelson is the Director interpol and International relations, AIGP Tanui Stephen is the Director of Fire and Rescue services , well as AIGP Geoffrey Musana is the Deputy Director Logistics and Engineering.
These newly appointed AIGPs are filling the vacuum within Uganda Police, following the retirement of some senior Police officers.
