BUIKWE DISTRICT, Uganda — MTN Uganda’s charitable arm, MTN Foundation, has enhanced digital access and education at St. Joseph’s Seminary Nyenga with a UGX 65 million donation.
The package includes 10 computers, a year of free internet, and backup power systems to support 392 students aged 13-20.
“Today, we’re opening doors to knowledge and opportunities for our youth,” said Bryan Mbasa, MTN Foundation Senior Manager. “We believe everyone deserves a modern connected life.”
This initiative aligns with MTN Uganda’s Ambition 2025 Strategy and supports Uganda’s Vision 2040 and UN Sustainable Development Goals.
St. Joseph’s Seminary Nyenga is the third beneficiary of MTN’s Digital Access Program, joining St. Catherine Girls Secondary School and Tunaweza Foundation.
Fr. Eugene Safari, seminary rector, praised MTN’s commitment to empowering future leaders with digital skills.
MTN Uganda has established over 57 ICT labs nationwide, including six technical institutes.
