KAMPALA– Dr. Sheikh Ziyadi Swaleh Lubanga, the Director of Sharia, has officially declared the sighting of
the crescent moon, marking the commencement of the Holy Month of Ramadhan on Saturday, March 1, 2025.
This announcement was made on Friday evening at the Uganda Muslim Supreme Council (UMSC) headquarters in Old Kampala.
On behalf of His Eminence Dr. Sheikh Shaban Ramadhan Mubaje, the Mufti of Uganda, he extended best wishes for a fruitful spiritual renewal to all Muslim faithful worldwide.
Dr. Sheikh Lubanga concluded with a prayer, beseeching Almighty Allah to bless the world with peace during this sacred season.
