Merck Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Merck KGaA Germany, has released the 15th episode of its popular TV program “Our Africa by Merck Foundation”.
The program, which airs on various TV stations across Africa, aims to raise awareness and create a culture shift on various social and health issues affecting the continent.
The latest episode summarizes the previous discussions on the program, featuring conversations with guests and designers, as well as Merck Foundation’s song “Girl Can” by artists Irene and Cwezi from Liberia and Ghana.
According to Senator Dr. Rasha Kelej, CEO of Merck Foundation, the program has received an overwhelming response from viewers and social media followers. “We are deeply touched by the messages we have been receiving, appreciating the TV program,” she said.
The program has been broadcast on prime TV stations across Africa, including KTN Home in Kenya, BTV in Botswana, and GHOne in Ghana. It is also available on Merck Foundation’s social media handles.
Merck Foundation’s “Our Africa” TV program is part of the organization’s efforts to improve the health and wellbeing of people in Africa. The program focuses on various social and health issues, including ending female genital mutilation, child marriage, and gender-based violence, as well as promoting girl education and diabetes awareness.
