Makerere University has announced that it is accepting applications from diploma and degree holders for undergraduate programmes under the private sponsorship scheme for the 2025/2026 academic year.
According to the Academic Registrar, applicants must hold at least a second-class diploma or degree from a recognised chartered institution, relevant to the programme they are applying for.
Diploma holders must submit certified copies of their academic transcripts and certificates, as well as a passport-size photograph, to the Senate Building. Graduates from recognised chartered universities must also submit certified copies of their academic transcripts and certificates.
The university has set a deadline of 28 February 2025 for the submission of applications. Applicants can find further details, including the list of undergraduate programmes available, on the university’s website.
Makerere University is one of Uganda’s oldest and most prestigious institutions of higher learning, and its undergraduate programmes are highly sought after.
