Balaam made this call on Monday 22nd July , a few hours to Tuesday, the date which the youth organized for their march.

“Let’s choose the corruption-free rally at Kololo airstrip and other major regional grounds as the most appropriate option instead of street demonstrations. Dialogue is a better choice than violence, which can emerge from demonstrations. Security has warned that wrong elements may take advantage of peaceful protesters to commit violence and crimes against civilians, their businesses, and property.”

He also revealed that President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has offered the Kololo airstrip for the corruption free rally, which can take place from morning to evening.

“Let’s opt for peaceful rallies other than violence which may emerge from protests . We can be heard peacefully! Let’s maintain peace in Central business district.”

He also pointed that its essential to present clear demands to the relevant authorities as one of the means of promoting accountability, transparency, and patriotism.

On the side of Public servants, Balaam noted that individuals with government contracts should ensure they deliver on their commitments and refund any funds for failed or cancelled projects.

“It’s crucial to address the issue of public funds mismanagement and work towards a more accountable and transparent governance. “

The youth and other individuals from various parts of the country are planning to march to Parliament in a peaceful manner to express their dissatisfaction with the manner in which the August house and other government officials are mismanaging the public funds which has caused misery , poverty and suffering among the country men.

In his address to the Nation last week, President Museveni warned Ugandans not to dare engage in any form of demonstration because the government will not allow them to destabilize the country at the expense of Foreign funders.
