KAMPALA, UGANDA – Ugandan football club Kitara FC has announced the immediate departure of its head coach, Brian Ssenyondo, and the entire technical team.
The decision comes on the heels of a 3-1 home loss to Bull FC on Friday at Masindi Municipal Stadium, which extends Kitara FC’s winless streak to five games.
The club’s poor run has seen them garner only four points in six games, with their last victory dating back to match day one when they defeated Lugazi FC 3-0 away.
Kitara FC has struggled at home, losing their previous two games at Masindi Municipal Stadium, 2-1 to NEC FC and 1-0 to Police.
In a statement released by the club, the decision was described as a mutual parting of ways, made after thorough deliberation.
“The decision has been taken with the collective interests of Kitara FC and its stakeholders in mind,” the statement read.
No replacement for Ssenyondo has been announced, sparking speculation about who will take over as the new head coach.
Kitara FC is currently competing in the Ugandan top-tier league and will look to turn around their fortunes under new leadership.
