KAMPALA– Bishop Joshua Lwere, the General Overseer of the National Fellowship of Born Again Pentecostal Churches of Uganda has asked Judicial officers from the Judiciary, to always reflect on God’s word and Biblical teachings throughout the course of their work.

During the Second Judiciary’s Prayer Breakfast held on Friday, at Judiciary Headquarters in Kampala, Lwere noted that Judicial officers are God’s Servants. “I pray that it is included in the induction, the Bible says you’re not judging for the man, but for the state.”
“Dispensing justice requires time because justice delayed is denied
As we talk about timely justice , it requires a proper work ethics and ability to understand proper time management.”

“People who work for less hours and get full payment, they always receive problems which consumes almost all the money that they didn’t work for. It’s those kind of people that you will find getting sick after getting the salary, buy problematic cars, fake land , their businesses fail and Incase they lend out money, they don’t get it back.”

He also cautioned those stealing from others , to be mindful that when they steal big, they will also lose big by getting sickness that require specialized treatment from Hospitals Abroad.
The Deputy Chief Justice, Richard Buteera called upon all Judicial officers , to always have a reflection of their Code of conduct throughout their performance.
“Exodus 18:21 highlights quality of judges , people who fear God to be appointed as Judges.Don’t accept bribes, because they blind their eyes of the wise.Judges should be knowledgeable people, God fearing people who study cases properly and make informed decisions.”
Buteera further reminded his colleagues, not to forget that Judicial power is derived from the people and it’s always dispensed on behalf of the people.
