Full-Time Scholarship Available for Master’s Program in Global Development at UiA Norway through Makerere

KAMPALA, UGANDA – The University of Agder (UiA) in Norway is offering a full-time scholarship for the Master’s Program in Global Development, Crisis, and Change, specifically to graduates of Makerere University’s Bachelor of Adult and Community Education program. This prestigious scholarship opportunity is open to outstanding individuals who meet the eligibility criteria.

The two-year program, running from August 2024 to June 2026, will be held at the University of Agder in Kristiansand, Norway. Students will reside on campus and participate in a blended learning program, combining classroom-based and e-learning courses each semester.

To be eligible, applicants must have an Upper Second-Class degree from Makerere University, with a first-class degree being advantageous. They must be between 20-30 years old, with no prior Master’s degree. Female candidates will be prioritized.

The scholarship covers tuition fees, living expenses, visa and travel expenses, and a fieldwork budget for each student to conduct research in their home country. Upon completion of the program, students are expected to return to their home countries.

Interested applicants should contact the Exchange Coordinator, Joseph Watuleke, at joseph.watuleke@mak.ac.ug, and copy the Postgraduate Coordinator, Dianah Nampijja, at dianah.nampijja@mak.ac.ug, to request the official application form. The deadline for submitting a fully signed application form with certified copies of academic documents is Friday, May 10th, 2024, at 1700 hours.
