St. Lilian Children’s Home serves as a haven for children from various backgrounds and abilities, including those who are deaf, mute, or physically impaired. Established in 2002 and officially registered as an NGO in 2005, St. Lilian Children’s Home operates on a Catholic foundation. The home is currently under the administration of Sr. Amoit Lucky, a nun from the Bwanda congregation of Catholic nuns. Additionally, the organization collaborates with Prince V, another charity organization focused on improving the livelihoods of children with special needs.
“During my time spent with these incredible children, I witnessed their resilience and strength in the face of life’s challenges. Engaging with them personally, I experienced the joy of teaching and learning alongside them through activities such as painting, coloring, shading, dancing, and meaningful interactions. Given the opportunity, these children can acquire knowledge and reach their full potential. What they need most is a listening ear, care, and support to meet their immediate needs.
