KAMPALA, UGANDA – Dr. Robert Mwesigwa Rukaari, Member of Parliament for Mbarara North, Mbarara City, has presented a token of appreciation to his mentor, Hon. Elly Karuhanga, in recognition of his invaluable guidance and contributions to Uganda’s legal and business landscape.
The gift, an Oxford Dictionary of Law, symbolizes Dr. Rukaari’s gratitude for Karuhanga’s mentorship, which has significantly impacted his career in politics, entrepreneurship, and culture.

Karuhanga, a renowned lawyer and entrepreneur, has had a profound influence on Dr. Rukaari’s leadership who serves as National Chairman of the Entrepreneurship League and Member of the Central Executive Committee.
As one of the founding partners of Kampala Associated Advocates and chairman of the Uganda Chamber of Mines & Petroleum, Karuhanga’s expertise spans various fields.
Dr. Rukaari, also the president of the Uganda National Chamber of Trade and Investment, acknowledged Karuhanga’s mentorship as instrumental in shaping his leadership. Dr. Rukaari’s impressive background also includes serving as Chairman of the East African Procurement News Company Limited.
Karuhanga’s notable achievements include serving as Founding Chairman of the Uganda Chamber of Mines & Petroleum, Chairman of the Private Sector Foundation, and Honorary Consul General of the Republic of Seychelles to Uganda.
