The launch due to take place on the 16th of February 2024, at Hotel Africana in Kampala will feature engaging discussions, author insights, and an opportunity to connect with fellow enthusiasts who share a passion for exploring new ideas.
Dr. John Ekure, the author and director of Kumi Orthopaedic centre says that in addition to celebrating the book launch, some part of the proceeds from the launch will be dedicated to a noble cause.
The book is a guide to how Dr. John Ekure has changed many lives, especially of Ugandans.
”It’s my second book, the first book was called “Undeterred”. This book I am launching has 3 main pillars, mindset, productivity, and Human skills to change the economic status of the people. The launch is geared at raising funds for the Elizabeth Opola Foundation which is to sponsor unprivileged youth with education and also environment conservation causes” Dr. John says.
”A portion will be directed towards supporting tertiary education for underprivileged youth, empowering them with an opportunity to pursue their dreams through the Elizabeth Opola Foundation. Furthermore, another segment of proceeds will be channeled to environmental conservation initiatives. ”By contributing to these efforts, we aim to play a role in safeguarding our planet for future generations. John added.
According to him, People’s attendance at the launch, not only marks the celebration of literature but also signifies everyone’s support for these impactful initiatives.
He believes that together we can make a positive difference in the lives of aspiring young minds and contribute to the preservation of Uganda’s environment.
Kumi Orthopaedic Center is a private specialized hospital for bone and joint ailments. It was founded in 2011 by Dr. John Ekure in honour of his late mother, Elizabeth Opola.
Elizabeth Opola was a midwife working in the Kumi district by the time she was killed, during the period of insurgency in Teso region.
