KAMPALA, Uganda — Dr. Denis Sempebwa, a renowned author and thought leader, has launched his 19th book, “People-Ology,” which explores the transformative power of relationships.
The book, the result of years of in-depth research, offers practical principles for improving relational life and achieving holistic development.
At the launch event held at Next Media Park in Kampala, Sempebwa spoke about the inspiration behind the book, drawing from his personal experiences.
“Relationships are like mangoes,” Sempebwa said. “If you have never picked a bad one, then you have never been mango picking. That is how relationships are.”
Sempebwa recalled his primary school days, when he loved picking mangoes but most of them were always bad. However, this did not stop him from picking, and those he picked would sometimes leave a stain in his pocket, relating it to how friendships work.
Victoria Sibya, the master of ceremonies, praised the book, saying, “Such an easy read, easy concepts to go through.”
Christine Musisi, a speaker at the event, commended Sempebwa’s personality, referring to him as a connector and open person.

“I find you open, a connector and you value people and you also add value to them,” Musisi said. “You have the science and art of people.”
Pastor Wilson Bugembe also complimented Sempebwa, saying, “I have attended many meetings, but everything they said did not get to me. I appreciate you for being intentional and real.”
Sempebwa, a former member of the successful gospel group Limit X, has established himself as one of Africa’s next-generation thought leaders and public intellectuals.
His latest book offers a crash course in relationship quotient and the ability to understand and manage human interconnectedness.
