KAMPALA – On Wednesday, January 28, we published a misleading story concerning Brass Africa where we alleged that the organization had been linked to promoting same-sex vices in Uganda
Having engaged with the stakeholders concerned and having reflected on the detriment the story has caused to Brass Africa and its partners, we hereby regret what has happened so far and undertake to do better, especially regarding the need to balance our reporting and the obligation to get the Brass Africa viewpoint.
UG Standard has since established that Brass Africa conducts its activities within the laws of Uganda and as such, there is no need to cause an alarm.
The story has since been unpublished from www.ugstandard.com and all our social media channels for lacking professional attributes.
In the same vein, we apologize to Brass Africa and all stakeholders involved while undertaking to do better in our subsequent reporting.
