KAMPALA, UGANDA – CNOOC Uganda Limited has launched a comprehensive free online training program aimed at empowering Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Uganda’s oil and gas sector.
The program, facilitated by Vectra Energies, seeks to enhance the capacity of local SMEs to compete effectively in the oil and gas supply chain.
“CNOOC Uganda is committed to promoting local content and economic growth. This program will equip SMEs with necessary skills to tap into opportunities in the sector,” said Liu Xiangdong, President of CNOOC Uganda.
The training, running from October 28 to November 7, will cover key areas such as:
- Financial management
- Health and safety standards
- Technical training
- Strategic business planning
SMEs from various sectors, including construction, logistics, hospitality, and information technology, are eligible to participate.
“We aim to build sustainable relationships with local businesses, enabling them to deliver quality services and bid for contracts,” added Eric Jumba, National Content Manager.
Registration is open and interested SMEs can sign up through CNOOC Uganda’s website.
