KAMPALA-Today, Wednesday 19th 2025, Buganda Road Chief Magistrate Ronald Kayizzi has issued an international warrant against Lawyer Isaac Ssemakadde Kimazze, the Uganda Law Society President who is being accused of insulting the modesty of a woman (the Director of Public Prosecutions) , Jane Frances Abodo.

The Private Prosecution case before Buganda Road Chief Magistrates Court, Joshua Byamazima and Tonny Tumukunde contends that Ssemakadde molested the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) , Jane Frances Abodo.
Before issuing this warrant, the Prosecution side informed court that Ssemakadde is outside country, and on several occasions he has been ignoring court processes even after serving his lawyers with the arrest warrant which was recently issued by the same court.
This prompted the trial Magistrate, to issue an International Warrant of Arrest to Interpol , to have Ssemakadde arrested wherever he is and returned to Uganda and answer the charges against him.
The two Private Prosecutors allege that on November 18, 2024, while addressing members of the People’s Freedom Front (PFF) party at a “Symposium on the State of the Rule of Law, Constitutionalism, and Human Rights: The Kisumu 36 Tales” held at Katonga Road in Kampala District, Ssemakadde uttered obscene and indecent words against DPP Lady Justice Jane Frances Abodo.
It should be remembered that High court Judge Musa Ssekaana, in February this year, sentenced Ssemakadde to two years in prison for contempt of court.
However by the time this judgement was passed , Ssemakadde was away on official duties in Rwanda, and since then, he has never returned back to the country.
