Kampala, Uganda – BrighterMonday Uganda has teamed up with the ICT Innovation Hub to enhance the employability of job seekers in the country.
The partnership, which was announced recently, aims to equip job seekers with the essential skills required to succeed in the modern job market. According to Xenia Wachira, Country Manager at BrighterMonday Uganda, the partnership is a strategic move to address the skills gap in Uganda’s job market.
“Many job seekers in Uganda possess academic qualifications, but lack the essential soft skills and digital literacy required by employers,” Wachira said. “Our partnership with the ICT Innovation Hub is designed to bridge this gap and enhance the employability of job seekers.”
Through this partnership, BrighterMonday Uganda and the ICT Innovation Hub will offer training programs, mentorship opportunities, and hands-on career development sessions to equip job seekers with critical competencies.
The training programs will focus on improving leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, as well as digital literacy. Career coaching and mentorship will also be provided to enhance employability and professional growth.
In addition, the partnership will provide networking opportunities with industry leaders and potential employers, giving job seekers a chance to connect with key players in their desired field.
Wachira emphasized that the partnership is a significant step towards enhancing employability in Uganda. “We are committed to empowering job seekers with the skills and knowledge required to succeed in the modern job market,” she said.
