Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) has ordered business man Hajji Hamis Kiggundu to stop constructing permanent structures on top of the drainage channel.
According to the Enforcement Notice dated Monday 11th November 2024, signed by Douglas Nsubuga on behalf of KCCA’s Director for Physical planning, Ham was ordered to halt the construction exercise with immediate effect and present an approved plans with in seven days.
“Failure to comply with the notice, shall result into: Prosecution before the courts of law, demolition at your own cost.”
This notice following the out cry from the members of general public on social media platforms accusing the business man of blocking the access route to St Balikudembe Chapel as well as interfering with Nakiviubo drainage system.
