As parents across Uganda gear up for another back-to-school season, the financial strain of tuition, supplies, and other expenses looms large. But what if your child’s creativity could help cover those costs? The Toyota Dream Car Art Contest is offering young artists a golden opportunity to turn their imagination into real-world rewards, with school fees prizes worth UGX 2 million up for grabs at the national level.
Art is more than just a fun pastime; it’s a powerful tool for cognitive and emotional development. Encouraging children to express their creativity not only builds their confidence but also enhances their problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Through the Toyota Dream Car Art Contest, children aged 15 and under have the chance to showcase their artistic talent while envisioning the future of mobility.
Beyond national recognition, the top three winners from each age category in Uganda will have their artwork entered into the prestigious World Contest. Here, winners can receive USD 5,000 for themselves and USD 10,000 for their school, while six best finalists per category will each be awarded USD 3,000. This is not just about winning; it’s about giving children a platform to dream big and share their vision with the world.
With the February 21st deadline fast approaching, here’s how to ensure your child’s entry is submitted on time:
- Choose a Theme: Encourage children to think about how cars of the future can be more innovative, sustainable, or beneficial to communities.
- Use the Right Medium: Drawings should be made on A3-sized paper using any colouring method except digital tools.
- Fill Out the Entry Form: Ensure all details are correctly filled out, including the child’s name, age, and school.
- Submit the Artwork: Follow the submission guidelines to ensure the artwork reaches CFAO Mobility before the deadline.
