Artist Juliana Kanyomoozi has asked Ugandans to stop intimidating her over her political views and personal life because she has a right as any other citizen to decide on what to believe in.
“Bobi wine is one of the people I celebrate with wherever he registers an achievement coz I know very well where he came from (not as a politician).
We visited Barbie (his wife) when Bobi wine was in prison and I was worried about the whereabouts of my friend.” Said Juliana
She added that she is happy that Bobi wine has obtained whatever he has through hard work and believing in himself.
“I may not have the same political beliefs with him and secondly being his friend doesn’t mean that I should join his political campaign . I have a right to do whatever I believe in as an individual and so whenever you ask me why I don’t join struggle its so unfair.”
Juliana also pointed out that she doesn’t need to come out and prove to their friendship when they know it themselves.
She also noted that as any other Ugandan, she is not happy about how certain things are managed in the country since she even lost a child due to poor health facilities that couldn’t support his life.
“My doctor did whatever was possible to save my son but he asked me to transfer him to Kenya because in Uganda there was no hospital that could manage his situation. I am glad that I was able to take him out for treatment but there are many people who can’t manage that and their people die when its not yet their time.”
She further added that she may be affiliated to Government in one way or the other , but she has no powers to change anything.
