KAMPALA – Uganda Manufacturers Association (UMA) has officially announced that they have finalized with preparation plans for the 29th Uganda International Trade Fair 2023 which is going to run under a theme “Embracing Digital Transformation and Innovation.”
The show is slated for 3rd to 10th October, 2023, at the UMA Show Grounds, Lugogo.
According to Deo Kayemba, UMA Chairman , the event will provide a crucial platform for Ugandan SMEs to gain insight into the transformative potential of digital transformation and innovation.
“The opening ceremony on 5th October will be graced by H.E Yoweri K. Museveni, the President of the Republic of Uganda. Additionally, the closing ceremony on 10th October will feature Hon. Dr. Peter Mathuki, the Secretary General of the East African Community, as the guest of honor.”
He added that they have so far received confirmation from a number of foreign exhibitors pavilions for countries like: South Korea, Taiwan, Kenya, Ghana, Nigeria, Tanzania, India, Rwanda, UAE, Lebanon, Iran, Pakistani, and China.
“A special highlight of the event is the return of the Rwanda Development Board, exhibiting under the Rwanda Country Pavilion. This significant milestone marks a breakthrough for the business community.”
Police Spokesperson Fred Enanga, assured the show goers that they have properly planned for the trade fair to offer security to all individuals who will be attending. They have enough number of personnel to ensure safety of people and their property.

Financial Literacy and Investment Advice: Stanbic Bank will offer financial literacy training with a focus on channeling savings and retirement benefits into meaningful investments, including manufacturing.
Innovations and new products: The fair has partnered with the Government through the Science Technology and Innovation Secretariat to showcase a wide range of innovative solutions across various industries.
