KAMPALA-The State House Anti-Corruption Unit, along with the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) and the director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), have arraigned Wampero Samuel, an accountant at Nakawa Vocational Institute, before the Buganda Road Chief Magistrate Court, on charges of forgery and uttering false documents.

On appearing before court , Wampero the charges against him, being that investigations are still underway , he was remanded to Prison until 22nd April 2025.
Prosecution contends that in 2004, the accused presented fake Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) and Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) pass slips, as well as counterfeit academic documents from Makerere University Business School, to the Education Service Commission.
His intention was to deceive in order to secure a job with the Ministry of Education and Sports as a Senior Accounts Assistant at Nakawa Vocational Institute, which he was granted. Between 2021 and 2022, Wampero was appointed as a member of the Governing Council for Nakawa Vocational Training College and promoted to the position of College Accountant at the institute after presenting additional fake transcripts and certificates allegedly from Kyambogo University.
It’s further alleged that , Wampero Samuel in or about 2022 at an unknown place, with intent to
Deceive or defraud, forged an Academic Certificate No. KYU-838681, for Bachelor of Business StUdies in the names of Wampero Samuel, purporting it to have been issued by Kyambogo University whereas not.
