KAMPALA —Security operatives in Kampala are hunting for a group of criminals suspected of recruiting Ugandan youths into acts of homosexuality and lesbianism.
A stop security source told UG Standard on weekend that the notorious clique was busted by operatives following persistent outcries and tip offs by concerned parents— some whose children have reportedly been recruited into the highly prohibited and ungodly acts.
The source also informed our reporter that majority of these criminals pose as workers of different Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs) dealing in youth-related matters including reproductive health and in the process convincing unsuspecting parents to give them their children for ‘help.’
“Parente should know that their children will be in possession of gay or lesbian related mature acts including lubricants among others. This is an indication that these people are actually training youth to become homosexuals or lesbians,” the operative said, adding that security has launched a serious fight against these gay crusaders before they corrupt the minds of Africa Society and “distort our culture”.
The operative also revealed that whoever is caught will face the wrath of the law for engaging in acts against the creator of nature.
The security chief said they have a list of gay key suspects that are now being trailed and investigated over the homo crusade.
The suspects —who are all said to be lesbians and homosexuals—include among others at large, Victoria Namubiru, a Mukono District-based journalist and Samalie Lynnette Kahunde, a resident of Mulago, Kampala city also a group leader.
Both criminals are said to have fled their home to evade arrest and they’re in hiding. Security sources claim they have a clue on their hideouts.
Some of the group members already arrested include Joy Linda Natumanya of Nansana in Wakiso district and Elizabeth Nakanwagi, a resident of Lubaga Division in Kampala City who have since been charged with immorality among other cases—punishable by up to 18 years.
Homosexuality in Uganda is a capital offence, which can lead to imprisonment for more than 18 years if found guilty. Efforts are being made by government to come up with even tougher sanctions against gay criminals.
