KAMPALA – A palpable sense of anticipation grips Uganda today as the Minister of Education and Sports, Ms. Janet Kataha Museveni, prepares to release the 2024 Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) results at State House Lodge, Nakasero. The release, scheduled for after 11:00 am, marks the culmination of the national examination cycle, following the earlier announcements of PLE and UCE results.
Candidates, parents, and teachers across the country are experiencing heightened anxiety as they await the outcomes of the crucial examinations. Officials from the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) had briefed Ms. Museveni on the candidates’ performance earlier this week, paving the way for today’s official release.
“The public will be able to know the outcomes from these examinations after 11 am when the results will be released,” confirmed State Minister for Higher Education, Dr. John Chrysostom Muyingo.
A total of 142,017 candidates registered for the 2024 UACE exams, their results determining their pathways to higher education. Having been home since December 2024, these senior six leavers are now eager to pursue bachelor’s degrees at universities or diploma courses at technological institutions.
To secure admission, candidates must have attained the UNEB certificate with at least two principal passes, a requirement for entry into most higher learning institutions. The release of the UACE results is a pivotal moment, shaping the academic and professional futures of thousands of Ugandan students. The nation waits with bated breath for the official announcement.
