KAMPALA– The Constitutional Court sitting held a reconstituted constitutional Petitions session in Kampala, presided over by Justices F.M.S. Egonda Ntende, Hellen Obura, Eva Luswata, Moses Kazibwe Kawumi, and Asa Mugenyi.
During the first day of the session held on 12th November, the Session concluded with the hearing of five Petitions and one application. In the application, a party applied to be added as amicus curiae in one of the Petitions.
During this session, the application was fixed for ruling on the 11th of December 2024, two Petitions were adjourned for hearing on the 17th of December 2024 and three Petitions were reserved for judgment.
In one of the Petitions adjourned for hearing in December, the hearing was to commence after the ruling on the application for amicus curiae.
The session is resuming today ( 13th November) with the hearing of seven additional Petitions.
