KAMPALA — Absa Bank Uganda has launched a UGX200 million reward scheme to encourage customers to adopt digital payment solutions. The campaign, dubbed “UGX200 million can change your story,” will reward customers who use their debit or credit cards for daily transactions.
Under the scheme, Absa Bank Uganda customers who use their debit or credit cards for at least five transactions per month will stand a chance to win UGX10 million each. Five winners will be selected monthly until December 31, 2024.
According to David Wandera, Executive Director and Head of Markets at Absa Bank Uganda, the campaign is part of the bank’s strategy to promote financial inclusion and digital payments.
“We’re committed to providing ultra-convenience and seamless experiences for our customers,” Wandera said. “This campaign is designed to reward our customers for embracing digital payments and loyalty to our brand.”
The campaign aligns with Absa Bank Uganda’s refreshed brand promise, “Your Story Matters,” which focuses on customer-centricity.
One of the lucky winners, Allan Tusuubira, praised Absa Bank Uganda for the initiative. “I’m thrilled to be among the winners. Using my debit card for daily transactions paid off. I encourage fellow customers to continue using their cards.”
Absa Bank Uganda has ensured widespread payment terminals for convenient transactions and reinforced cybersecurity measures to safeguard customer investments.
With UGX100 million still up for grabs, customers are encouraged to continue using their Absa cards to stand a chance to win.
