In his remarks, Mufti Mubaje emphasized that the training program aims to equip Imams with effective methods to fulfill their spiritual roles and communicate Allah’s divine message to guide their communities. He urged the graduates to apply what they have learned and to lead by example as spiritual leaders.

He paid tribute to the school administrators, teachers, and instructors involved in the Imam training program under the Noor Islamic Institute, which he founded in 1984 as Director-General. He praised his former students for maintaining the spirit of Noor and their dedication to community service.

Additionally, he announced plans to renovate the institute’s aging infrastructure and encouraged parents to continue enrolling their children, highlighting the institute’s commitment to quality education.

Prior to Mufti Mubaje’s address, Hon. Hadji Abbas Muluubya Ssekyanzi, the UMSC Secretary General, lauded the Mufti for establishing Noor Islamic Institute, describing it as a beacon of knowledge and wisdom that has trained many Muslims serving in various capacities globally.

He urged all Muslims to participate in the upcoming anniversary celebrations marking 52 years since the establishment of UMSC.

Other speakers included Dr. Sheikh Ahmad Hamid Wandenga, the Regional Assistant to the Mufti in charge of the Eastern region, and Sheikh Isa Masaba, the host Kadhi of Bugisu Muslim District, both of whom shared insights into the achievements of Noor Islamic Institute.

The event was attended by Hon. Counsel Haj Muhammad Ali Aluma, Deputy Secretary General in charge of Administration and Finance, Sheikh Imran Ssali, Secretary for Religious Affairs, members of the UMSC National Management Committee, General Assembly members, Majlis Al Ulaam, Kadhis from neighboring Muslim districts, and various local leaders.
