Robert Bourgi, known as France’s “Mr. Africa,” will participate in an online press conference on October 29 to discuss the English release of his explosive memoir, “They Know I Know Everything: My Life in Françafrique.”
The book offers a rare glimpse into Bourgi’s four-decade career as a lobbyist and political adviser, shedding light on France’s complex relationships with African leaders. Bourgi worked closely with influential figures such as Jacques Chirac and Nicolas Sarkozy.
During the press conference, Bourgi will be joined by journalist Frédéric Lejeal, who will moderate the discussion. The event will be held in French with simultaneous English translation.
Bourgi’s memoir reveals shocking details about France’s African policy, including financing circuits for French political parties and sensitive diplomatic missions. The book features candid portraits of African presidents, including Félix Houphouët-Boigny, Laurent Gbagbo, and Mobutu Sese Seko.
