MPIGI – Teddy Nambooze, the Woman Member of Parliament for Mpigi district, has emphasized the importance of promoting sporting talent among students. She made this appeal during the launch of the quadball sport at Kololo SS in Mpigi District.
“This is one of the unique games that promotes togetherness among students of the two genders. In most of the games, boys have been playing alone and girls have also been playing alone without mixing,” Nambooze said.
She therefore promised to provide all the required support to schools and the brains behind this game to ensure that it reaches all corners of her constituency, as well as the whole country.
Tomusange Ahmed, the LC1 Chairperson for the area, advised ELSA Africa to consider entering into partnership with Uganda Secondary School Sports Association to train more technical staff that can be able to handle the increasing number of players of this game.
Kololo SS is one of the first schools in Mpigi district to train students in Quadball, which is one of the new games in the Country.
