Lomé, Togo – Ecobank Group, the leading pan-African banking group, has launched the 2024 Ecobank Fintech Challenge, offering a grand prize of $50,000 and a chance to scale solutions across its 35 African markets.
The annual competition, now in its seventh edition, invites early-stage and mature fintech startups to partner with Ecobank, addressing challenges such as reaching scale, navigating regulatory environments, and managing funding scarcity.
Successful applicants will join the Ecobank Fintech Fellowship program, gaining access to opportunities including multinational product rollout, service provider partnerships, and priority access to venture capital partners.
Applications are open until July 7, 2024, and interested parties can submit their applications through the official website.
This initiative demonstrates Ecobank’s commitment to driving financial inclusion in Africa through partnerships with fintechs, said Jeremy Awori, CEO of Ecobank Group.
Last year’s competition attracted 1,490 quality entries, and since its inception, 60 fintech startups have been inducted into the Ecobank Fintech Fellowship.
