The recruitment quotas will be based on the projected population figures of each District/City of Uganda, as computed by the Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS) as of June 25, 2023. The exercise will be conducted in 10 zones, covering all 135 districts and 11 cities. These zones include Buganda, Busoga, Bukedi/Teso, Midwestern, Kampala Extra, Rwenzori Region, Northern, Karamoja/Sebei, West Nile, and Western.
Aspiring recruits will be recommended by DISOs, GISOs, and LCs. The exercise will last for 56 days, including submission, verification of applications, and final recruitment of successful candidates. All participants in the recruitment exercise will have a security pass.
Eligible candidates must meet certain requirements. They must be citizens of Uganda with an original National Identity Card, be fit and ready to undergo medical and body fitness tests, be adult males or females between 18-22 years, have formal education of S.4 (UCE) completed between 2020-2023 with passes in English and Mathematics, and have application letters duly signed by LCI, LCII & LCIII Chairpersons, GISO or DISO, and RDC.
