KAMPALA – Unicaf University, a pan-African university, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Ntare School Old Boys Association (NSOBA) to provide educational opportunities through a special scholarship program.
This partnership aims to offer discounted online scholarships for international degrees, master’s, and PhD courses from renowned institutions such as the University of East London, Liverpool John Moores University, Unicaf University, and the University of Suffolk.
The program is designed to equip students and association members with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in their careers.
During the signing event at Unicaf offices in Ntinda, Moses Turyagumanawe, Marketing Manager at Unicaf Uganda, emphasized that this partnership is part of their corporate scholarship scheme. “This scholarship will be available to members of the association and their associates, including family members, to advance in different programs of education at Unicaf University.”
The MOU will be in effect for one year, featuring a special scholarship percentage exclusively available to NSOBA students.
“We have agreed in this MOU that in this period of one year, we’ll have a special scholarship percentage given to Ntare Old Students Association, and Unicaf is happy for this opportunity. We believe this will create value for the members of the association, associates, and their family members in attaining quality, yet affordable education through online and Unicaf,” Turyagumanawe added.
He highlighted that Unicaf’s online platform offers affordability, as students can pursue education remotely, eliminating expenses such as transportation costs and others associated with traditional learning methods.
“With the Unicaf online platform, individuals have the opportunity to access education remotely, thus bypassing expenses like transportation, accommodation, visas, and other associated costs.”
Apollo Kashanku, NSOBA Chairperson, praised Unicaf University for its credibility and the valuable opportunity offered to the association.
“As an old boys association, our fundamental focus is on education. We believe that partnering with Unicaf University offers great value to our members at an affordable price, and we’re happy to associate.”
