Kampala, Uganda – National Unity Platform (NUP) leader Bobi Wine has launched the party’s structure formation roadmap and countrywide membership registration drive.
This follows a two-day retreat for Constituency Registrars, District Focal Persons, and Sub-regional Focal Persons aimed at re-training and equipping them for their roles.
Addressing the gathering, Bobi Wine urged the Registrars to perform their duties with courage, diligence, and fairness, and to prioritize the interests of the people above personal interests.
He emphasized that NUP is the political wing of the People Power movement, and that the Registrars are the Organizing Wing of NUP, tasked with harnessing the massive support for change across the country into a potent force for transformation.
Bobi Wine called on the Registrars to work tirelessly to build a strong and vibrant party structure that will ultimately lead to the removal of President Museveni from power and pave the way for a new Uganda where freedom and opportunity abound.
The launch of the NUP party structure formation roadmap and membership registration drive marks a significant milestone in the party’s efforts to mobilize and organize Ugandans ahead of the next general elections. With its focus on grassroots mobilization and empowerment, NUP is poised to continue its growth as a formidable force in Ugandan politics.
